I don’t often blog news information, but it was recently announced on the Forefront Front Team blog here that the next version of ISA Server, now named Threat Management Gateway (TMG), is planned for release in Q4 of this year (2009).
The blog post also provides more information on expected release dates of the upcoming Microsoft Forefront “Stirling” integrated security suite, which has been moved out to early 2010 to allow for better 3rd party interoperability and improved zero-day attack protection.
So, it looks like Christmas may come a little earlier this year for people who are eagerly awaiting the next incarnation of Microsoft ISA Server (like me!), and the benefits that the new version will bring to the security market…
